    Upcoming Goodies

I've been busy for the last couple of days and haven't had time to post any new items in my Etsy store. But I was able to get pictures of my upcomings- here is a sneak peak!

    Have You Heard of Wordle?

Here's a neat place that has a gallery different themes, sites and ideas that you can generate into "Word Clouds". Here is my Word Cloud that was generated by just placing my blogspot.

    Be My Valentine- Heart Pendant

Here is my latest creation during the holiday season. I was already thinking about Valentines Day because by February the days are longer (it doesn't mean it stops being drizzly around here) and I can look forward in the Spring. This eye-catching pendant is drizzled with sparkle.

    Take Me To Your Leader

I've been wanting to make one of these lil' guys for a long time. I finally had a chance to do it this past week after since I was homebound from all the snow we had in the Seattle area. And you thought those monsters in your closet or under you r bed were scary.. they just want to be loved!

    Insane in the Membrane

Like many of you, I've been trying to balance work, the holiday errands, festivities and making lampwork beads and jewelry. Over the last year, my little pea brain has been try to to come up with jewelry projects that are elegant and eye catching, yet fast and easy to make. This one came to me last night as I was working on one of my holiday pendants. I managed to design one of my lampwork beads into the cluster.

I LOVE just love how this one came together. It is compact and light and just oozes with brilliant rich colors and eye catching bling!

    Swan Song Pendant

Just made a series of ready-to-wear pendants for the holidays and lampwork bead pairs over that last couple of days. I just posted some of the items in my Etsy Store. Here one of my favorite one so far.

    Sea Anemones Series

Here are the latest additions to my Sea Anemones Series. They are in my Etsy store for purchase. Each one comes with a 18 inch steel cable choker and are ready-to-wear!

    Summer Breeze- Nautical Seascape

As we anticipate warmer and sunnier days to come to the Pacific Northwest sooner then later, I decided to place it in my beadwork to share with others.

    Sushi Anyone?

Pass the wasabi and soy sauce please. My daughters and sisters love sushi and anything sushi! We really got spoiled on Japanese and Asian cuisine when we were stationed in Japan for over 6 years. Here's a dish my daughter picked to get her "fix" for the week at a small family Japanese & Teriyaki restaurant just down the street from our house. Yummy!

    Anemones Spiral Series

Many people mistake anemones as plants, they are actually animals. Sea anemones are a group of water dwelling, predatory animals of the order Actiniaria; they are named after the anemone, a terrestrial flower. Take a look where my inspiration to make these beaded beauties came from! Kunstformen der Natur (Art Forms of Nature) is a book of lithographic and autotype prints by German biologist Ernst Haeckel. The book was originally published in sets of ten between 1899 and 1904 and as a complete volume in 1904, it consists of 100 prints of various organisms, many of which were first described by Haeckel himself. There are over 1000 engravings produced based on Haeckel's sketches and watercolors.
